Hm, I think I'm gonna change my template. Any suggestions?

Comedy is out of hand!

I know that many of you are internationals and probably disinterested in live show information...however, to be honest that's what's on my mind.

There are some exciting shows coming up and I gotta tell you a little bit about them.

(First off, the opening at the New Museum was intense and crazy and thank you to all who came new faces and old.)
---------
Okay so this FRIDAY NIGHT, APRIL 28TH at 8PM at Juvie Hall is a brand new show (This'n'More) I'm doing with friend and fellow blogger Michelle Collins. You can now check out our page on the Juvie Hall site...

You gotta love Michelle's photoshopping skillz!!

But don't complement her, I think she's getting a big head.

We're screening America We Stand As One to kick off the show, so we can all share an instant American classic in our living, breathing hearts.

Joining us are a group of very funny, entertaining comedy people--a really cool line-up. You got Adam Wade, blogger extraordinare and all around good man. We became friends through blogging and IM and then I went to Hoboken (where he lives) to try his favorite sandwich. We show our short film about this for the first time ever tonight: "The Italian Tuna Adventure" (you're going to take this film's virginity, so please go gentle and hold it's hand before you rip into it with a frightening vengeance). Wade is also a great documentarian--did a doc about a guy who worked at his local deli that really blew me away.

Why am I so positive lately? Is it disgusting everyone? Don't tell me I don't want to crash down from this sunny perch. But please note I am aware of the "grating happiness" problem and am sure it will be resolved soon enough through one of life's many spontaneous tragedies!

Then you got Aziz Ansari who's funny and blogs and always seems to write new stuff for shows and has a unique, young energy and perspective. And AD Miles: online addict, funny, accomplished performer, husband of Amy Miles (of track 12 fame). He's doing all kinds of cool comedy/tv stuff now, so his intro at the show will take 15-20 minutes (sit tight pls.). You may also remember that he can't cook a burger to save his fucking life. Jkjk. Good on a grill. And finally, a couple of my favorites Ahna Tessler and Lauren Engel will be performing. These two do stuff like nobody else. They also don't have a website, but work/write together and do sketches and characters that are very, very unique and smart but also c.r.a.z.y. and energetic.

Great writing here, throughout, Chelsea. Hey! Couldya do me a favor and say "great" or "very" , "cool" or even "energy" a few thousand more times, because I like the way how these words convey a clear and specific meaning to the reader who is skimming this. Thanks Chels for that!

Also: Almost everyone on the show is incredibly hot.
----------

TUESDAY, MAY 3, 8PM at GALAPAGOS is the monthly comedy/music/film show VARIETY SHAC. The core of this show is me, Andrea Rosen, Heather Lawless, and Shonali Bhowmik (of Tigers and Monkeys) and we usually have 2 guests (this Tues: Jill Pangallo and Tiny Heart). I think this is our 6th show? It has been insanely gratifying to produce this offbeat night, and to make a short film for it each month. There is a very specific energy here that I really like. The audience, the space, it all comes together to feel comfortable but charged.

**THERE IS A ~PARTY~ AFTER THE VARIETY SHAC SHOW THIS TUESDAY, WITH FRIEND & MUSIC SELECTA MIA JUHNG**

This will be fun so even if you can't come to the show COME AFTER TO HANG OUT and do joke dances because you feel awkward when music is on. Or: just be cool and have rhythm.

More about us.

Hilarity

This is going to be a fun post for me, not so much for you. I am listening to a CD some guy gave my mom at the theater. He sat next to her at the play and had a bag of his CDs and gave her one.

Now, when she told me this anecdote, I could have easily glossed it over. Eeeeeeeeasily. (Trust me.) However. Something in the story thankfully captured my ear. I asked her to send me the CD. It is the most valuable thing I own. I could literally have a sleepless night worrying about somehow misplacing or losing it. That is how unbelievable this thing is. I can't say more. Only know it will definitely come into play in a (series of) future comedy show(s), in some way or another...hell or high water.

I'm exhausted

So tired....or, as I say to everyone who tries to interact with me lately: "Things are just SO chaotic right now!" (Bang.)

And my creative life has taken a toll on the cleanliness of my room.

Here's an old picture, since my MOTHERFUCKING SERVER SITUATION IS STILL OUT OF HAND. CAN'T TELL YOU HOW DEMORALIZING. ADDITIONALLY, I HAVEN'T INSTALLED MY LACIE DRIVE STILL, OR TENDED TO 1000 SIMPLE CHORES INVOLVING FAXING AND PHOTOCOPYING (AND SWEEPING MASSIVE DUSTBALLS).

MY ROOM? SHAMBLES.

(BUT I DID MANAGE TO FILM A TOUR OF MY BATHROOM AND PUT IT ONLINE. WAY TO AGE GRACEFULLY, KIDDO.)

BUT WHY AM I YELLING AT YOU? There's nothing you can do...except come to my events, I guess. Sigh. Okay, yeah just do that, I guess. Yeah, cool. Do that.

PS Props to Jim Norton for his HBO taping, and to Pete Miser for doing the music on awesome documentary 'Through the Fire"-- is it me or is everyone doing amazing, inspiring things lately?

I gotta say: I love NY again!

Envelope Ignored

You ever have an envelope come in the mail that you cannot bring yourself to even look at. You toss it somewhere and you keep sneaking looks at it that make your stomach nervous? But you save it to open it when you're at work or something because you don't want to be alone with it?

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

UPDATE: HaHA! I brought it to work and opened it in the company of others, with trembling hand, and IT TURNED OUT TO BE A CHECK FOR $10--FROM MY MOTHER, with the kindly note "Have lunch on me." The opposite of what I had dreaded in every way! (She opened a Citibank account to get a free ipod, but one of the requirements was 2 transactions a month or something. So thus I will get 10 dollar checks now.)

I thought it was a bill from some fucking 2 years ago doctor's visit for which I get 300 invoices daily--and of course not repriced according to my insurance. I'm supposed to fax all these people various things to get it right, and haven't yet. So, I thought something had finally gone over to a collection agency. Nope. $10.

Now the moral should be to take care of those faxes....sigh....

Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday

What do these days mean to you this week?

Hopefully, they'll mean this (Australians -etc- excused):

Thurs: 6-8 New Museum Opening
Fri: This'N'More premiere show at Juvie Hall. 8pm.
Mon: DVD taping at Pianos of Invite Them Up (Bobby and Eugene's show). I'll be doing 30 full seconds of stand-up--and not a second less!
Tues: Variety Shac at Galapagos. 8pm. Free. Short film this month is about walking waterside along the Hudson, contemplating an assortment of things.

Also: Saturday the 7th is a day of workshops at Eyebeam. I'll be there doing one if you feel you haven't already learned enough from me just by treasuring my blog as a ritualistic and hugely important element of your daily life.

Chelsea Hair

Chelsea hair seems to be something a lot of googlers are interested in. Anyone have any idea why? While I'd love to believe there's a huge quantity of people researching how I get my hair "just so," I fear there's some other, more accurate explanation.

Like I said before, not a huge fan of my current haircut. Not a hater of it...but certainly not a fanatic. Best cut I ever had was by a complete crazy person, who cut hair dry to follow the natural waves (called it pret a porter). He told me he had once diarrea'd into his roommate's OJ due to a domestic spat. Haha, fair enough! (Inches towards door, prepping to sprint, hair half cut).

This hairdresser also told me he was the beautiful stranger Madonna paid homage to in her song "Beautiful Stranger."

He knew this...because one time they made eye contact as she rode past in her limo.

Then that song came out.

So clearly...as you can see...

Grapenuts with Water

I have to admit, what started as a drastic measure to avoid walking down and up the 6 flights of stairs to my abode for milk, has turned into a genuine affection: I LIKE GRAPENUTS WITH RAISINS AND WATER! Hot water in particular.

(Btw, note that I can just keep re-using pix that are already on my server. So please enjoy revisiting all of them.)

Well, first off

Sat night's party was hella fun...I'm talking about We Have a Motherfucking Plan and Kudu. It was a hot, inspiring, crowded sweaty night and I danced it away, away, away. That's what happens when people are actually motivated to put something together with genuine excitement behind it...it's infectious! (sp?)

Tonight went to see Showalter's film in the Tribeca Film Festival (The Baxter)--very impressed--it was a huge accomplishment, made me laugh, etc. Very proud of Michael! Tomorrow: I go see "Through the Fire" and excited for that also. Then to new museum to continue to prep for show.

Listening to old Roni Size CD right now, wishing I was out somewhere with people really dancing. (No bullshit ass haha-look-at-me-I-don't-have-rhythm-so-I-do-joke-dances-all-night type shit. Or look-at-my-cool-outfit-I-put-10-hours-into-as-I-drunkenly-bob-my-head type crap. Boo on those genres of dance! What is wrong with you NY?)

Tonight went to bday party of John Cameron Mitchell. 3 teenage gay boys basically gave him a simulataneous lapdance (*PHOTO*) as part of the festivities (also the world famous BOB stripped down to her bedazzled, hairless poonanie and Dirty Martini did a sexy strip tease....). The 3 teenage boy thing gave me some great ideas about the general direction I want my next bday to go.....they were animals...trust me....

Don't be mislead though...even though I saw the towering and handsome Nikola, the clever Mike Albo, my sweet young gay crush (who was suddenly acting quite possessive, btw!!), and of course, my dear old friend Tricia Romano who brought me there in the first place (thanks, and for that exquisite chicken!!)...in spite of all that.......the night ended early and I was left wanting more....call me a hedonist.

Where is summer? Where are the fun parties? Keep me posted. It's time to have fun. We've all earned it.

Also keep me posted about apartments...I really should move. Really.

Note: Lord, would I love to post the pix and vids from my CA trip, if only I had some space on my server. There's some real gems in there. It's killing me.

Party tonite

We Have a Motherfuckin Plan + KUDU @ Dumba, 57 Jay St.
9pm
$3

New Party Records
Kudu

This one's going to be an event. Very excited. WHAMP is a new group this is their first show and 3 of the 4 are folks I know from back when I used to go out dancing all the time. Then we felt parties got played out (same djs, same people, same sets, same everything, cabaret law, lounges-not-dancing, etc.). This group made it's own music and they have built a set and choreographed dances! You may remember Adeola from a previous post--she was my #1 going-out buddy and the hottest dancer I know. DJ Imposter is hot period, and Greg is the type of guy that girls get along with--in a good way.

Never been more in the mood to go out. My mood? Peak springtime. If people aren't dancing I will kill somebody.

Maxwell...rainy day....

They were playing Maxwell at the place I ate breakfast, as the gloomy grey day drizzled along outside.

I wish...

Good morning! I wish I could somehow get a mixtape of the music (over-confident, drum heavy, basstastic, glorious, swelling, cheesy, with frenzied violins and soaring vocals) that my deaf-ass neighbor blasts each weekend morning from about 9am-1pm. Is it disco? Classics? 80's music? I can't quite tell.

I swear to god if I could do it I would put together a show starring me as a high-energy one person dance team, dancing to all his favorite songs. (BOOM! SELECTAAAA!) It would be an intense, fantastic, 4 to 5 hour show. Big energy, lots of leaps, gyrations, and winks-- fancy twirls. Lots of arms. Maybe some one-handed push-up sections! And a team onstage to lipsynch all the vocals (pantomine electric bagpipes, etc).

The whole time the audience will know this is the music my neighbor wakes me with each morning but here I am onstage making lemonade.

I try to write down each song as he goes, but the only one I've ever successfully id'd by song title was "Ring My Bell." The spirit of this song gives you song sense of his tastes and the general energy level: DING DONG DING AAAYYYOOO--RING IT! Good morning.

UPDATE: Identified another one: Teri Desario: "Ain't nothin Gonna Keep Me from You." More about Teri on 80s Music Central!

Friday

It's Friday.

You earned it, so enjoy it today! Take your time with it. This is a bogus post. I need to go to bed. I can only say I'm sorry. And promise, again, that when my server issues are resolved, I have a great video waiting. Many, in fact.

Back from California--RUSHING THOUGHTS!

At the end of the 5 or so hour flight just after the plane landed I thought to myself that'd be so funny if it exploded now. That had me laughing out loud to myself as my friendly neighbors pretended not to notice. Even more hilarious would be if the landing evoked that little patter of applause that sometimes happens, and then the plane exploded, engulfing me and everyone in a burst of flame and instantaneous death.

**JASMINE!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FORGIVE ME FOR THE LATENESS, I WAS IN CALIFORNIA AND DETACHED FROM MY REGULAR SCHEDULE. HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JASAMINA!!!!!!!! APRIL 18 APRIL 18 APRIL 18--THIS IS THE ONE BIRTHDAY DATE I'VE ACTUALLY KNOWN ALL MY LIFE AND I BLEW IT.**

Guys, my server problems have left my events page blank....this doesn't help at a time when I have a ton of events I'm very proud of and would love for you to attend--will do a post on that soon.

On Jetblue I watched some MTV show [UPDATE: Meet the Barkers] with the guy Travis from Blink 182 and his hot blond wife. Can I say I am in love with them as a couple and as individuals? It's very odd but I can't describe how much I love them. I love they way they are together, I find them both completely hot, and I think they are the best. How do you all feel about me feeling that way? Do you find that okay?

Shout out to Scanlon, you've been my favorite commenter these days. I hope you're not a horrible person.

Other than that I am exhausted and have a busy week/month ahead. I'm bummed about the server issues because I have so many pix and vids I wanted to put up and now I can't.......gotta wait.

Super psyched about the new POPE!!!!!! YAYAYAYAAYAYAAYAYAYAY!!!! NEW POPE! NEW POPE!

Love to Travis and whatshertitties. Love you guys! Mwah!

PS One more shout out---to SF comics! You guys are nice as shit and you always make me feel welcome! Will do a post on them soon.
Mommy why do I have to play on such a grim, modernistic play structure?

Because that's what a designer was interested in honey.

But I don't get it...it doesn't resonate with me!

Please shut up and EAT YOUR CHOCOLATE!

Last Day in Town Laundry Jingle

I'm in California on my last day here :( :(

Care to know the song I JUST sang as I did my laundry? I mean this is HOT of the presses!

"A small load of lights
A small load of lights
A small load of lie-high-hiiiiiiiiiiights.....
A small load of lights! CAMERA! ACTION!
"

Try it next time you do laundry--it makes the time fly past!

PS Even though at core my mood is melancholic, the tone of this song is triumphant.

Okay, guess what. Time to get your lazy ass up and go to the store for some milk.

Yeah. You just poured white tea in your grapenuts.

TOP DOWN, CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY

People always rap/sing/talk about riding around with the top down.

It's kind of all been in one ear and out the other for me thus far in life.................until.........

NOW!

Potential Soundtrack: Drop Top Caddy (dnb, listen here)
Potential Soundtrack Part Deux: It Don't Stop (lyrics here)

And (in reference to my crappy new haircut):
"You Are the Wind Beneath My Wings"

Never forget

Useless Video MAYHEM!

LADY DOWN! LADY DOWN! IT'S USELESS VIDEO MAYHEM! ONE LADY DOWN!

Spike has been featured more times than I care to remember on this blog. Though perhaps not so much recently. He is the office dog where I work as a writer in Tribeca. He's good natured, if you like a one-master dog who has strong herding instincts, an incredibly moody behavioral pattern, a penchant for begging binges, and a complete disinterest in and nonchalance about human excitement. Also: silky coat. Anyhow, we at the office feel you are doing a disservice to a canine if you don't push it to be all it can be:

NOW PRESENTING....SPIKE THE DOG:

Additionally, would you like a tour of my bathroom? Well you can check it off your list NOW because...HERE IT IS!

BATHROOM TOUR:

FREEBIE! Another still from this production (no link):

Finally, what would it be like to be in on a big fun secret with someone like me? Watch and learn! (Note: also shot on-location in same bathroom in same outfit--during same 20 hour shoot!).

GET IN ON A SECRET!

AFTER YOU HAVE WATCHED, CLICK INTO THE COMMENTS SECTION TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE SECRET.

UPDATE: THE SECRET HAS CHANGED! THE SECRET IS NOW THAT I TOOK THIS VID DOWN BECAUSE I NEEDED THE SPACE ON MY SERVER!!! SHHHHH!!! DON'T TELL!!!!! PRETEND I'M ON TOP OF ALL THESE THINGS!! SHH!

Friday, April 15, 2005

Good day all!

I am in my childhood home in California. I plan to venture out and get some coffee soon at a cafe where one can sit for a long time without anyone trying to turn over your table.

More later!
(Or should I say latte-r ? Hahaha. I'm being adorable here!)

In lIeu of blogging

Last night I decided to excercise in lieu of blogging. I had a fantastic athletic workout!

How is everyone else doing in terms of exercise?

Tuesday, April 12, 2005

Grapenutso!!!!!

Still into Grapenuts, guys. Like I noted in my own comments section, I filled a ziplock baggie with Grapenuts and raisins and ate the mixture for breakfast this morning. Aside from the inherent unsexiness of eating out of a baggie as I walked down the street--looking paradoxically insanely hot--it was a very satisfying morning mulch.

My friend Sasha in Berlin tells me via Friendster that his favorite breakfast is currently Grapenuts with skim milk and strawberries.

That does sound really good to me.

It pains me that a google search for Grapenuts yields a "Grapenuts SUCK" post from the current biggest fan of Grapenuts that ever lived...

Sorry, Grapenuts!

Frank's Hot Sauce--yep, it does exist!

I love that when you really love something you can usually find it online. It just makes you feel so safe and learned.

What made people feel this way in the olden days...religion?

Don't answer that, I have to get back to writing my thesis (I'm a freshman in college) and won't have time to deal with any comments on the topic.

*Cash Only*

Every place I go lately is cash only. That's so irritating in combination with the insane ATM fees we have to cover.

. . . i l o v e u , n y . . .

ps NYers what banks do you like?

THE WILD, WILD WEB

Think you have a great idea for some magical crap that will whip the online masses into a frenzy?

Let the people be the judge.

Sign up now to see if you can win the $2000 grand prize, the $1000 Technorati prize, etc!

Attend a workshop (including Comedy Contagion with the extremely prestigious C. Peretti! Dirt Style with Cory Arcangel! Identity Correction with the Yes Men! The Fruminator! Jonah Peretti! And more more more)!

Check out the correlated Contagious Media exhibit at the very cool New Museum (where I first saw Paul McCarthy and also first saw a shit-making machine!).

It's all gonna = hog heaven for the down'n'dirty computer lover in you.

*Thanks to Joi Ito, whose above image I boldly took, resized and appropriated...minus the fancy borders.
*And to Eyebeam for fostering fun events like this.

John Hoogasian

Read an article about my friend John Hoogasian, a comic in San Francisco who I always try to see when I'm out there. He's fucking funny and an awesome person. Ryan Stout is also featured in the article and is also a very cool guy. When you go to San Francisco go see them if you get a chance. (Note: I didn't realize their home was a Comedy Condo! Not only have I been in this house, but I have been THROUGH IT in this house! Stories to follow....never. Shout out to Hoogs and Chris Noble).

Here's a hotlinked photo of the gents (is that really so bad to do...click to enlarge):

(My dad recognized Hoogasian from this photo in the SF Chronicle and turned informer!)

Smut Reading

I'm doing a reading this Monday night at Galapagos. It'll be exciting to see if 5 pages of rantings, meanderings, and pseudo-meanderings will evolve into something sexy and hilarious by 8pm.

INT. CHELSEA'S ROOM --RIGHT NOW

Chelsea looks into mirror with champagne flute raised high, full of promise. But her sad eyes tell a different, more ominous story...

CHELSEA:
Here's looking at you, kid!

She tries to wink and fails.

A laptop sits at the far corner of her desk, screensaver swirling viciously.

I take back what I said about Grapenuts sucking!

Try eating them out of your hand mixed with raisins!

Or is it that I'm fucking starving. Either way, my roommate just walked into the apartment, crashing my extremely private moment of eating said mixture out of my palm in a frenzy of urgent hunger.

Dignity-wise: hey, at least I was hunched over the sink like a rat!

SHAC SHORT: POTLUCK

Is now up for your viewing consumption on the VS site!

Check it out HERE.

Saturday, April 9, 2005

Body art can be complicated.

But is always a very sexy turn-on!

If you're ever in Tuscany...

Do stop by the Peretti Farmhouse. (This has been in our family for years, don't know why I never brought it up. I guess it's one of those things you take for granted, but other people find spectacular and impressive...)

There are no quiet, private, romantic rooms so please do not ask for one / inquire into this.

Also:
no ac, no phones, no internet, no dining room, no pool, no shuttle service, and no fitness center.

COME HAVE FUN AT THE PERETTI FARMHOUSE!

Friday, April 8, 2005

I had two glass-eyes put in!

What do you think?

PROS
I like how they glint.
Shiny!
They have a certain crystal sheen to them not found in my natural set.
More privacy.
Cool how the light plays on them.
Sparkle in the sun.
Can tap them when I'm thinking.

CONS
I don't like how they dry out.
Stiff/hard.
Can't see, obviously.
They get too cold in cold climates/too hot in hot climates.
Expensive, irreversible.

Chelsea is shit!

Chelsea is shite.

Friends, this is a very common search term that leads overseas sport enthusiasts to my New York-based site. They're looking for online support in their hatred of the Chelsea football team, I imagine (and yes by football I mean soccer, not futbol americano.)

Whelp, guys, all I can say is welcome. You may enjoy this site regardless of its lack of relevance to your search terms, so take some time off your campaign of hate--to browse around! I'm confident you'll enjoy what you see, even if you are a dumb, beer-guzzling cunt.

Would it sweeten the deal if I told you I spent some time studying in Surrey? That I ate regularly at a pub called The Happy Man? That my mates introduced me to Ali G and Alan Partridge long before they had migrated into the American eyeview? That I have snogged? That I know what a fit bloke is?

(Don't hold it against me that I bought a Chelsea scarf on a trip as a youth and all that nonsense...it was about narcissism and not any kind of sporting allegiance.)

How could I not get into that pendant?

I was a child!

Why is Dave suddenly off of Wendy Williams' radio show?

Someone tell me the scoop.

GRAPENUTS SUCK

What was I thinking?

Also I always have milk but no cereal or vice-versa. Never seem to have the two at the same time. May have to give up the whole concept.

Caution: Do not betray 41 year old Chinese gamer : Caution

name undisclosed, but just don't betray him and sell his virtual shit that he lent you, he doesn't like that at all.

or go ahead and do it if you want to test him but know his ass will rise to the challenge. he's just not into it. hates it. really, really not happy with that type of behavior. it irks him to the point where he may go much further than he means to, because he's just so frustrated by the way you handled things.

THE ARTS THRIVE

It is rare that a musician is able to put into words something you've always felt but have never been able to articulate.

Note: Don't let this get lost in the shuffle. You must watch.

WATCH IT WATCH IT. TRUST ME WATCH IT.

Seething tech genius

My friend Brendan is a smart bitch, when that happens, everyone wants a chunk. Here's how he might help you out if you're one of the minions who need some tech support. Love the bright red font and caps!

In spite of itself, this is kind of the most helpful thing it's users have ever probably seen.

ps he shot/edited the valentine shac short.

Thank you!

To all who attended the Variety Shac. You guys outdid yourselves. It was a really fun night.

The SHAC core was unstoppable as usual (Shonali, Heather, Andrea and CP), and our guests were icy raw. Matt Higgins, Jamie Greenberg, and finally: Amy Miles.

Below, I have included two pix from her video shoot weeks back. I played a bartender in it, so someday remember to watch for the back of my head as I carry a tray of empty drinks to a patron who then takes one without giving me any money.

It's all about track 12...

GET TO KNOW THE VARIETY SHAC PLAYERS, PLEASE

There are four of us in the VARIETY SHAC show team ensemble. We don't perform together much except for in our short films. Meaning, at our show we each do our own individual spot--AND EVEN HOST SPECIAL GUESTS WHO DO SPOTS. This is particularly important to note because this is the first time that this has ever been done in New York (where a series of performers do their act on a live comedy show). This Tuesday our short film is about a potluck. If you have ever been to one you will totally get it right away and feel in on all the jokes.

But who are we? WHO ARE THE VARIETY SHAC PLAYERS?

We are...inclusive...

We are...a loving, tightly-knit unit...

We are...almost always in a playful/cheerful/funtime mood...both individually and collectively, weeknights and otherwise...

We are...people who eat cookies together...

We are...attentive lovers...

We are...super into color and movement...

Readers: I hope this has given you some sense of who we are as a team. I believe I have always tried to let you in, to show you the way things are with me, the lens through which I see the world. As you know, this lens is often rosecolored as I am full of romance and whimsy, but I am trying for your sakes to be as realistic about who we are as possible and with no holds barred. There is nothing I would hate worse than for you to ever feel I have deceived you...ever...ever....

Been listening to Too Short

all morning.

No matter what I can't not love too short. Okay, well I'm sure there's a way I couldn't but...here's some of my favorite lines.

Heartbreak:

"All my bitches is gone...
them bitches bounced!
I used to have a gang of em
now they can't be fount."

Simple ass lyrics that just plain sound good:

"We can all get together on the late night
cut to the house hook somethin up real tight.
I really don't care....cuz I'm a player."

Running errands:

"I was on my way
to San Jose
to the stereo shop to make my music play
cuz one amp shut down and the bass ain't playin..."

The Best Part of Waking Up...

is the soothing melody of a jackhammer in an air shaft.

Maybe I'll wear my new baby tee today (diamond-encrusted, iheartjackhammerz).
