WAY TO GO, PIRATES! (How often can I type THAT this season?)

Some things are clichés because they are true.

Yeah, the whole “Every Fan Has Hope On Opening Day!” thing can be over played.

But let’s face it… if you are a Pirate fan, you haven’t had much to cheer for since Sid Bream slid past Spanky LaValliere.

So let’s give the Pirates some love! A Three Run 2 out, 2 strike 9th inning go ahead 3 run double by Jack Wilson could be the highlight of the season.

For at least one day, Pirate fans can feel like a pennant contender.

Just go 81-80 the rest of the way and the Pirates will have their first winning season since 1992.

Hey! It’s opening day! Why not be optimistic?
