The other day I watched the last 2 innings of the Marlins - Nationals game on MLB.tv and saw Hanley Ramirez hit a 9th inning homer to tie it and Josh Willingham hit a walk off shot in the 10th.
The only way I could describe the crowd was that it reminded me of those high school tournaments where the championship game is played in a Major League park when the team is away. The stadium is 98% empty, but the parents who are there are going ape.
Let's just say Josh Willingham's mom took him to Dairy Queen after the game.
