Everybody knows you need a turbo to run a dump valve but we still get calls asking us for a dump valve for non-turbo cars! Well here is the answer.
With a new and improved sound and smaller installation box the Saber-edv V3 now offers a realistic sounding dump valve sound than ever before!
The main feature of the Saber-edv is to simulate the Dump Valve PPTTTSSSSSS sound. The benefit being you won't have to cash out on a turbo kit, and this baby will not increase your insurance premium either
The new saber-edv V3 uses the latest MP3 technology, meaning no loss of quality or sound.
The Saber V3 is smaller, more compact, & the new CARBON STYLE box looks awesome. The Saber V3 is also easier to install, fitting should only take about 45minutes.
The Saber-edv V3 will NOT increase your insurance premium, you will have all the sounds & style of a turbo but without any of the expensive costs.
The fake dump valve simulator is the only dummy blow off valve on the market that not only gives you a genuine sound by using MP3 Technology but also activates at the precise moment using a micro switch fitted behind the accelerator pedal.
When you back off the accelerator to change gear, the system activates the LOUD air dumping sound PPTTTTSSSSSSSS
SABER-EDV Fitting Instructions
1 The speaker/EDV box supplied needs to be fitted as close to the front of the car as possible,
i.e. behind/under the front bumper or behind the headlights.
2 Fit the speaker/EDV box with the cone facing sideways or downwards to stop water getting
into the box. The speaker is not waterproof.
3 The micro switch needs to be mounted to the universal mounting bracket using the nuts and
bolts supplied.
4 Mount the bracket near to the throttle so that the micro switch ONLY makes contact on FULL
throttle. (This can be done at the throttle pedal inside the car or at the throttle body housing
inside the engine bay, see Fig A.)
NOTE: At no other time should the micro switch make contact except for on full throttle.
As you release the throttle, connection is made and your SABER-EDV will sound. This may
involve cutting and bending the bracket as necessary to mount the switch in a suitable position.
Warning: Care must be taken to ensure that this fitting doesn’t interfere or impede with the
throttle operation in anyway, if in doubt consult a professional mechanic to do this for you.
SABER-EDV Wiring Instructions
1 Connect the wires as shown in Fig B. It is vital that the connections are correct otherwise your
system may fail to operate.
2 The 12volt supply must be connected via the ignition switch so the SABER-EDV is only
powered up when the vehicle is running.
3 Ensure that a good earth point is used for both the SABER-EDV unit and the micro switch
otherwise the unit will fail to operate.
4 The micro switch earth must be connected directly to the battery negative terminal. Do not
earth the micro switch to the engine as this can cause interference.
5 Recheck your installation ensuring that the vehicle’s throttle operates correctly without
interference. If you are satisfied that your installation is correct, fit the 10amp fuse supplied.
6 Your installation is now complete.
Please note: The SABER-EDV is designed to operate just like a real dump valve, meaning it’s
only when you release from full throttle that your SABER-EDV should sound. If your SABER-EDV
sounds at any other time than when the throttle is released then it is wired/fitted incorrectly.
Warning: High output speaker unit. Do not operate within 10ft of open ear as this can cause
permanent hearing damage!
