Tim Lincecum win total might not reach double digits
I said in my win challenge for Javier Lopez and Brian Wilson that Tim Lincecum might put up Cy Young worthy numbers and yet finish the season with 11 wins. That might be generous.
I mean look at yesterday.
7 innings, 1 run, 7 strike outs and an ERA that dipped to 2.90.
LOSS!
He's a .500 pitcher.
Second in the league in strike outs.
Top 10 in ERA.
Top 5 in innings pitched.
Top 10 in batting average against.
A 126 ERA+, which I think is good.
And he is a .500 pitcher.
A well. It won't matter if the Giants win the Division.
I can't think of another .500 pitcher I would rather have on the mound.
